Production Technical Services Manager
Owensboro Municipal Utilities is seeking qualified and motivated candidates to fill the following Full time, Exempt position:
Production Technical Services Manager
Under the general direction of the Director of Production, directs the water production engineering and support functions including capital project management, labs, and electrical and instrumentation activities. Provides oversight for environmental compliance and permitting activities. Requires a high level of judgment, analytic ability and creativity, such as investigating moderately complex problems or situations, analyzing information and recommending solutions.
Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Extensive working knowledge of the inter-related components of a water treatment system
- Excellent communication skills, strong leadership and supervisory skills needed
- Basic computer skills
- Respirator release required
- Desired minimum of five to seven years’ experience in the water utility industry
- Preferred Class IVA Water Treatment Plant Operator Certification, Professional Engineering License
